STEWARDING - IATEFL CONFERENCE ABERDEEN, UK, 2007
Please find attached two pages outlining the basics of the different stewarding jobs.
We need stewards during the four-day conference (Thursday 19th to Sunday 22nd April), and also stewards to hand out delegate bags, programmes, etc.
Further details will be sent to successful applicants when I send an ‘acceptance to steward’ letter.
The remuneration for this valuable help is quite rewarding (especially from a charity as we are!) The different stewarding jobs have different hours of work and so the payment for each is therefore different, as shown below -
Stewards handing out delegate bags - £100
Stewarding at the Boyd Orr Hall and some around the venue - £140
Extra stewards around the venue (for less hours) - £110
Stewards by session rooms - £115
Stewarding at the speaker room - £95
IN ADDITION, stewards are entitled to attend one session per day free. You can see the Programme on our website from late February (www.iatefl.org) and choose which sessions you'd like to attend. Tell me your favourites in order of preference and I'll choose which are best (according to the need for stewarding) for you to attend. I will do my best to accommodate your first choices but please note, I need stewarding to take preference over session attendance.
PLUS, stewards will be able to go into the exhibition when not stewarding, for example, during the lunch break.
I look forward to receiving your Application Form as soon as possible.
With best wishes,
Glenda Smart
